What is a MOON LODGE?

Traditionally, a moon lodge refers to a women-only gathering space, linked to menstrual seclusion and lunar cycle connection, where women came together for rest, ritual, and renewal (Buckley & Gottlieb, 1988; Hoskins, 2002).

Recently, spiritual feminist communities have reimagined moon lodges as sacred circles to honor cyclical wisdom, intuition, and connection with the moon (Starhawk, 1979; Bobel et al., 2020).

Our Moon Lodges are in-person and virtual sanctuaries for rest, connection, and authentic self-expression—honoring women’s life and lunar relationship. It’s a…

  • Sacred Container. Held by a trained facilitator and medicine woman, this curated community and monthly prompts helps members nourish and restore their feminine energy within or celebrate women’s Rites of Passage.

  • Devotional Practice. We commit to circling, reflecting, engaging in ritual under the rhythms of the moon, nourishing our intuition, deepening our spiritual practices, and supporting one another in sacred community.

  • Divine Feminine Activation. The Moon Lodge offers a daily touchstone for women seeking to live in balance, guided by lunar cycles and feminine wisdom.

*All who identify as women are welcomed.

We gather to restore balance by honoring the feminine in ourselves, our communities, and the Earth.

OUR STORY

I started holding circles in 2008. I was trained by the One Circle Foundation, to hold teen girls circles in Santa Cruz County. It was my first job out of college based out of a Women’s Center, and I facilitated about 4 circles a week for 3 years (over 600 teen girl circles!)

At that same time, I met my mentor, SunOtter Martinico. She is an Apache Medicine woman, who trained in the Lakota and Zero Mayan Chief traditions. She brought me into ceremonies, and strengthen my facilitation skills. She taught me how to show up for group and community healing. Eventually, I learned ceremony and rituals for a women’s life with her.

Since then, I’ve trained with spiritual teachers, and have been gifted ceremonies and rituals for my own and community spiritual wellbeing. In 2018, I became an end of life doula. Just this year, I complete the Wild Woman Circle Training to refresh my skills.

Today, I hold end of life rituals, menarche celebrations, baby blessings, bride circles, and mentor women and community members who seek spiritual wellbeing.

The Moon Lodge is my latest offering. It’s part of a larger dream, to have a physical moon lodges and temples return on earth, for women to gather and celebrate the cycles of their life supported by divine feminine connection and community once again.

Testimonials

  • "It was worth every minute and penny. I felt like this ceremony really held me in my spiritual work, inspired me, and nourished more seeds that will germinate and grow in my life. I was pleasantly surprised how well it worked in an online format. I knew it was going to be good, but it was great!"

  • “Natalie’s teachings come from such an authentic place. It’s impossible not to feel a deep connection with her, and within yourself. Her teachings showed me how we are deeply connected to various elements around us. Afterwards, I felt grounded, more connected with myself and I felt empowered. I highly recommend Natalie as a guide and as a leader. She will bring you through a beautiful transformational process while offering her teachings along the way.”

  • "I have been in circle with other women before, but I haven't really participated in a ceremony that included such detailed ancient teachings and learnings… [Natalie]-- your energy and the space you held for us was palpable even through Zoom. I felt there was a very good balance between being led into spiritual self-reflection and having the space to find my own way into it."
